SOCHUM

The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) is the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. SOCHUM focuses on issues related to basic human rights that should be enjoyed by everyone worldwide. In recent years, the brain drain rates have increased with recent political, social, cultural and economic activities. This phenomenon leads to a loss of valuable human capital and reduces consumer spending in the areas they depart from. Even though brain drain plays different roles in different nations; the consequences such as loss of revenue, dearth of human capital, strain on resources and higher prices and taxes affects all countries which makes this issues a real international problem.

At YBFLMUN'26, delegates are expected to find solutions to the economic and social causes of brain drain that will not only solve this issue politically, but also will determine the social causes while cooperating and creating practical strategies to address the issue and solve it.
