The Joint Crisis Committee stands as one of the most demanding and dynamic platforms within the
conference, designed for delegates capable of navigating uncertainty, power struggles, and rapid
decision-making. This committee is set in the universe of Avatar, on the distant and
resource-rich moon of Pandora, at a time when tensions between its native inhabitants and human
forces have reached a critical breaking point.
As the Resources Development Administration (RDA) intensifies its efforts to exploit Pandora’s
vast natural wealth, the Na’vi people rise in defense of their homeland, bound together by their
deep spiritual connection to the land and to Eywa. What began as a conflict of interests has now
evolved into a struggle that will determine the fate of an entire world.
Within this committee, delegates will step into the roles of key figures shaping both sides of
the conflict.. Every directive issued, every alliance formed, and every risk taken will carry
irreversible consequences. The RDA, armed with advanced technology and driven by the needs of a
distant Earth, seeks dominance and control. In contrast, the Na’vi fight not for conquest, but
for survival, unity, and the preservation of their identity.
Yet, neither side holds absolute power. The RDA must contend with fragile supply chains,
internal divisions, and the unpredictability of an alien world. The Na’vi, despite their
knowledge of Pandora, face the immense challenge of uniting diverse clans and resisting a
technologically superior adversary. As the conflict deepens, new crises will emerge, testing not
only strategy, but also morality and leadership.
At YBFLMUN’26, the Joint Crisis Committee will demand more than simple diplomacy. Delegates must
think beyond conventional solutions, balancing ambition with caution. In this arena, the line
between victory and devastation is dangerously thin. The ultimate question remains: will Pandora
become a symbol of domination, or a testament to coexistence?
